4. How We Use Artificial Intelligence

Our service utilizes automated Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning models provided through Replicate. These models analyze your images to enhance quality, sharpen details, and restore color. By uploading an image, you grant us a limited license to process the image solely to provide the restoration service. We do not use your photos to train our AI models.

5. Biometric Data Notice (BIPA)

In accordance with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), please be advised that our AI restoration models may analyze facial geometry landmarks within your photographs to accurately restore facial features. This information is extracted temporarily and ephemerally during the restoration process. We do not use this data to identify you or any third party uniquely. All data, including any derived facial geometry, is deleted within 30 days of upload.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We adhere to strict data minimization principles. Your uploaded photos and restored results are stored securely in Firebase and are automatically deleted after 30 days. We retain order-related identifiers (such as email addresses) as long as your order is active or as needed for tax and legal compliance.

We share information with the following service providers to facilitate our operations:

• Firebase (Google): For cloud hosting and photo storage.
• Replicate: For running AI inference on photos.
• Sendmatic: For sending transactional and order-related emails.
• Polar Software, Inc. (Polar): For acting as our global merchant of record, processing payments, and managing applicable taxes (with payments fulfilled through its payment processors, such as Stripe).
